About Mallory Malkin, Ph.D.

Dr. Mallory Malkin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and duly certified Civil Commitment Examiner in the State of Mississippi. She is also credentialed as a National Register of Health Service Psychologist. She currently serves as the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) of the Bureau of Community Mental Health Services at the MS Department of Mental Health (DMH). Dr. Malkin is originally from Pennsylvania, but has lived in Mississippi for over 10 years. Dr. Malkin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Guilford College (Greensboro, NC) and her Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg, MS). Dr. Malkin completed her doctoral internship at The University of Mississippi Medical Center/G.V. Sonny Montgomery Consortium. Dr. Malkin has presented on various topics throughout the state and has published in peer- reviewed journals such as Journal of Family Issues, Journal of American College Health, Journal of Child and Family Issues, Journal of Adolescence, and Journal of Personality, among others. She is also the owner of Malkin Behavioral and Mental Health Consultation Services, a contract-based behavioral and mental health consultation firm. Dr. Malkin also serves as an adjunct instructor/lecturer for Mississippi State University, University of Southern Mississippi, Mississippi University for Women, and University of Maryland Global Campus. Additionally, Dr. Malkin serves as the President of the Mississippi Psychological Association (2021-2022), as well as the Vice Chairperson on the Board of Directors for the Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center (CAC).
